There is this thing about being addicted, to an object, a person, a form of substance. You think you can resist it, on your first taste, you’re doing pretty well. You think to yourself, “this tastes pretty good, but I shouldn’t do anymore of it lest I get addicted.” Fair enough, you put it away, and forget about it for awhile.

Then your second chance at this addiction arrives, and you think to yourself, “If I could get it through the first time, I can get through this too, afterall, it’s been awhile..”

Famous last words I say, because it’s always the second time, the prospect of having another, and another, and another that makes addiction grow.

Once it starts, its hard to make it go away.

Its not that big of a problem if whatever you’re addicted to is readily available, at any time of the day. It makes the wait more sufferable because you know you’ll get it without much waiting, or begging.

But what if, you have to wait for your object of addiction?

The wait becomes excruciating and unbearable.

That’s when your addiction becomes a problem.

  1. Get the addiction addicted to you. And the junkies live happily ever after. Oh yes.

  2. Sounds like a plan ;P
